# Pivoting Dish Illuminators Table Lamp OOO Swivels on a Ball Joint for Adjustable Directionality By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-03-06 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-lamp-ooo References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/table-lamp-ooo-by-vasiliy-butenko/) & [vasiliybutenko](http://www.vasiliybutenko.com/index.php) As a geeky student of art history, the Table Lamp OOO initially struck me as a three-dimensional model of Sidney Nolan's painting entitled Boy and the Moon. Of course, the light fixture embodies the [minimalist assembly](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delite-20) of a round base, a tubular stand and a circular top, composing a rather constructivist contraption that can be symbolically interpreted or appreciated simply for its purist geometry and vibrant yellow color. A tiny lightbulb beneath the thin upper dish of Vasiliy Butenko's piece can be fully exposed or shifted out of sight by the easy rotation of the round panel on its [magnetic fulcrum](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pivoting-lamps-collection). This golden face serves as a lampshade to block direct illumination from the Table Lamp OOO so that it can be used to light up any space or activity and conform to your desired ambiance. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 10% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Adjustable-direction Lamps:** New trend in lamps that can adjust directional illumination with ease. - **Minimalist Design:** Minimalist designs are becoming popular in home interior decor, creating opportunities for companies that make minimalistic products. - **Small Space Illumination:** New compact lamps that can be used for lighting in small spaces. ### Where This Applies - **Lighting Industry:** The lighting industry can benefit from creating adjustable-direction lamps with minimalist designs. - **Home Interior Decor Industry:** The home interior decor industry can leverage the popularity of minimalist designs and market to consumers interested in stylish yet simple products. - **Small-space Living Industry:** The small-space living industry can create innovative compact lamps with adjustable-direction features, hat can fit into small spaces and provide illumination. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Simplistic Angular Desktop Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/linear-table-lamp.md) - [Illusory Multidimensional Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drop-light.md) - [Interactive Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tangent-lamp.md) - [Compact Geometric Portable Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pivot-lamp.md) - [Bold Playful Lighting Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/little-lebow-table-lamp.md) - [3D-Printed Mood Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orbyt.md) - [Sculptural Lunar Lighting Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moonsetter-floor-lamp.md) - [Conical Multifunctional Lamp Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-table-light.md) - [Reversible Glass Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jal.md)
