# Space-Saving Table Seats The One-Quarter Table + Chairs Eliminate the Need for Tables By M | Published 2013-05-27 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-chairs References: [designboom](http://www.designboom.com/design/one-quarter-table-chair-by-jaklitsch-gardner-architects/) & [jaklitschgardner](http://jaklitschgardner.com/projects/all/37-one-quarter-tablechair/) Architect group Jaklitsch / Gardener created the One-Quarter Table + Chairs to conveniently combine a table and chair into one functional piece of furniture. An intelligent idea for parks, backyards and even offices, the One-Quarter Table + Chairs seem like a standard chair; the innovation lies in the horizontal wood panel that extends off of the back of the chair. When two or more One-Quarter Table + Chairs are put together back to back, the wooden extensions join up to create a rectangle, square, big or small tables. Made entirely out of locust wood and [reused plastic](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bultan-chair), these table-chairs are strong, sturdy and environmentally friendly. Another neat feature to the One-Quarter Table + Chairs is the circular cut out in the extended table surface that perfectly fits a cup of coffee. Joined together or alone, the One-Quarter Table + Chairs are space-saving, chic and aesthetically beautiful.
