Featuring a 29.5 square meter size, the 'Taac' apartment boasts living space that includes a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and home office to ensure it's as functional as possible for a modern inhabitant. This is achieved thanks to a [shifting wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/florin-court-flat) that hides and reveals functionalities as required to increase overall efficiency without the need for music space. The 'Taac' micro apartment is the design work of the Italy-based architecture firm Planair and identifies how [modern city architecture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sbc-apartment) and design will need to shift to accommodate increasing populations. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.9/10 - Popularity: 100% | Activity: 98% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Micro Living:** The 'Taac' micro apartment exemplifies the trend towards smaller, more efficient living spaces. - **Multi-functional Design:** The shifting wall in the 'Taac' micro apartment reflects the trend of integrating multiple functionalities into a single space. - **Urban Housing Solutions:** As populations increase and urban living becomes more popular, there is a need for innovative housing solutions like the 'Taac' micro apartment. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture:** Architects can explore new ways to design and maximize the functionality of micro apartments. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can create furniture and layouts that optimize space in micro apartments, inspired by the 'Taac' design. - **Real Estate:** Real estate developers can meet the demand for urban living by investing in and offering micro apartments as a housing option. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Thoughtful Micro Studio Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mini-studio-apartment.md) - [Japanese Inn-Inspired Micro Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-tarta-piccola.md) - [Reinvented Compact Living](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/affordable-housing-prototype.md) - [Smartly Designed Compact Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-apartments2.md) - [Reimagined Minimal Parisian Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-cocoon.md) - [Multifunctional Small Studio Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-mescla.md) - [Space-Conscious Compact Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minuet.md) - [Compact Urban Dwellings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/miami-tiny-house.md) - [Compact Sustainable Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cabana.md)
