Used as a [chair, table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wire-chair-concept) or even as a fort if stacked in multiples, it is very low-impact while utilizing spaces in the most optimal way possible. Gently attached with a rope, the T3 Tree Chair doesn't hurt the tree at all. That should put some minds to rest. Designed by P.E.Bellisario and A.Cingoli of architecture and design firm ZO-loft, the T3 Tree Chair essentially uses strategically cut boards of styrofoam, the aforementioned [rope and plastic rings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/entwined-objects). The rope threads through holes punctured into the styrofoam and the rings to hold it firmly against the trunk of the tree. Easy and eco-friendly, picnics will never be the same again. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.6/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 94% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **DIY Outdoor Furniture:** Opportunity for companies to create innovative and sustainable outdoor furniture solutions using eco-friendly and low-impact materials such as the T3 Tree Chair. - **Low-impact Design Hacks:** As people become more conscious of their impact on the environment, businesses can develop design hacks that allow for the creation of functional pieces while minimizing their impact on nature. - **Multi-functional Furniture:** There is a growing demand for furniture that can serve multiple purposes, presenting an opportunity for companies to create versatile and adaptable designs like the T3 Tree Chair. ### Where This Applies - **Outdoor Recreation:** The T3 Tree Chair presents an opportunity for companies within the outdoor recreation industry to create eco-friendly and low-impact outdoor furniture solutions. - **Sustainable Design:** Design firms and companies specializing in sustainable design can draw inspiration from the low-impact design hack used for the T3 Tree Chair to create sustainable solutions for various industries. - **Event Planning:** Event planners can incorporate multi-functional furniture solutions like the T3 Tree Chair to create unique and sustainable events for their clients. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Flatpack Adventure-Ready Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-outdoor-chair.md) - [Bungee Cord Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tcord-chair.md) - [Sprouting Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wood-chair-on-grass.md) - [Interlocking Wooden Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-tie-stool.md) - [Tree-Intertwined Metal Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tenir-bench.md) - [Childhood-Inspired Outdoor Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peace-outdoor-lounge.md) - [Naturalistic Stainable Seat Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/daisee-chair.md) - [Table-Equipped Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/migo-chair.md) - [Natural Sound-Amplifying Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/amplification-of-the-senses-chair.md)
