When large crowds of tourists attempt to find their way through the bustling city beneath the hot summer sun, these [sculptural benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jean-nouvel-11) provide the perfect refuge and the means to plan one's next move. The first Information monument is formally composed of flat planes. A fine rectangular surface lies horizontal to afford a place to repose while vertical elements are printed with maps and events. A spiraling Futuristic Fountain and a [geometric Information Tree](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tenir-bench) offer the same ergonomic and instructional assistance as the first of the T3 Information Monuments, but incorporate sheltering overhangs as well. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.4/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Sculptural Benches:** Opportunity to disrupt traditional outdoor seating systems and create artistic and functional benches. - **Ergonomic and Instructional Assistance:** Potential for innovative seating designs that provide comfort and guidance to users through printed maps and events. - **Sheltering Overhangs:** Chance to design outdoor seating with built-in sheltering overhangs for protection from sun and rain. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture:** Innovation possibilities in designing unique and functional outdoor seating systems. - **Tourism:** Opportunity to create seating solutions that cater specifically to the needs of tourists navigating large events and unfamiliar cities. - **Urban Planning:** Potential for incorporating artistic seating designs into urban landscapes, enhancing both comfort and visual appeal. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Adaptable Outdoor Seat Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monom-seater-concept.md) - [Futuristic Rooftop Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ls24-lounge-system.md) - [Dual Sculpture Seating Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/immaterial-0001.md) - [Playful Public Seating Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playful-public-seating.md) - [Tranquil Reading Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chapters-furniture.md) - [Accessible Urban Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/urban-furniture-concept.md) - [Modular Outdoor Space Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mass-public-bench.md) - [Public-Oriented Furniture Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/furniture-for-public-use.md) - [Interactive Purposeful Urban Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/urban-furniture1.md)
