The Synchronising Threads and Rhizome art exhibit appears to suspend time in a [spider's web](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/drawing-on-space). Caught amidst a mess of black thread, a wedding gown appears to float in midair. Although the imagery may refer to time, the installation also focuses on connections between objects. A written on Casa Asia, "[H]undreds of invisible threads that bond us to things can be seen. In these domestic scenarios she proposes, threads become bridges between a bride's dress and the absent subject, a piano, suitcases and a mirror."

Created by Berlin-based artist Chiharu Shiota, the Synchronising Threads and Rhizome art exhibit is similar to her past installations including [Breath of the Spirit](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chiharu-shiota-breath-of-the-spirit). Often commenting on the concepts of life and death, this art installation is no exception.
