Designed by Daniel Kerris, the laptop-enabled system can create unique tunes that are inspired by works of art, your very own face and the view out of a window. The Synaesynth control panel can be connected to your computer's webcam, or a separate camera in order to function. Now, as the viewfinder picks up different shapes and colors and detects movement and its speed, the virtual virtuoso conjures up percussion noises to rhythms, beats, amplitudes and pitches that relate the various qualities of what has been sensed visually. The Synaesynth can even be taken into the car to [create a real-time soundtrack](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/riffusion1) of a road trip. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.3/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Image-to-music Translation:** The Synaesynth technology demonstrates the potential for translating visual elements into musical compositions. - **Art-inspired Music Creation:** Synaesynth's ability to create music based on works of art opens up new possibilities for artistic expression. - **Real-time Soundtrack Generation:** The Synaesynth's capability to create a live soundtrack during a road trip presents opportunities for immersive multimedia experiences. ### Where This Applies - **Music Technology:** The Synaesynth system showcases innovation in the intersection of music and technology, creating opportunities for new products and services. - **Art and Design:** The Synaesynth's integration of art and music fosters collaborations and innovations in the art and design industry. - **Entertainment and Media:** The Synaesynth's real-time soundtrack generation during experiences like road trips introduces innovative possibilities for the entertainment and media industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Color-To-Sound Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gradient-synth.md) - [Interactive Display-Equipped Synthesizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/love-hultn-x-lirona-synthboi.md) - [AI-Powered Music Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-music-synthesizer.md) - [Interactive Music Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sound-maestro.md) - [AR-Fueled Musical Camera Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minibeats.md) - [Emotion-Driven AI Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/memoreel.md) - [Movement-Evoking Audio Visualizers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/favle22.md) - [Text AI-Generated Music](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/musiclm.md) - [AI-Powered Piano Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/roli-piano-system.md)
