As its title gives away, it is a swing set that generates power with every pump. This power is fed into a system of lights to illuminate the area at night. A playful and interactive installation, Swing by Moradavaga also provides a sense of gratification in regards to activity and environmental awareness. Created for the Pop Up Culture program promoted by Guimarães 2012 – European Capital of Culture, Swing by Moradavaga was built outside of the International Centre for the Arts Jose de Guimarães. Each swing is attached to a bicycle chain that turns a wheel to power the lights. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 52% | Activity: 19% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Kinetic Energy Harnessing:** Exploring ways to generate power through movement and kinetic energy opens up opportunities for innovative installations and sustainable solutions. - **Interactive Art Installations:** Interactive art installations like Swing by Moradavaga provide a unique and engaging experience for visitors, offering opportunities for creative and immersive branding experiences. - **Environmental Awareness Initiatives:** Combining playfulness with environmental consciousness can create opportunities for educational and impactful initiatives that promote sustainability and increase awareness. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Design:** Art and design industries can leverage kinetic energy harnessing technologies to create unique and engaging installations that merge creativity and functionality. - **Renewable Energy:** The renewable energy industry can explore the potential of kinetic energy harnessing as a viable and sustainable energy source for lighting and other applications. - **Marketing and Advertising:** Marketing and advertising industries can tap into the interactive art installations trend to create immersive brand experiences that captivate consumers and promote brand values. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Rotating Solar Powered Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eness-1.md) - [Accessibility-Enhancing Public Art Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/isometric-studio.md) - [Solar Energy Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/michael-jantzen-2.md) - [Heritage Sound Playgrounds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hornscape-playground.md) - [Rotating Solar-Powered Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-solarpowered-bench-that-spins-ever-so-slowly.md) - [Dual-Function Play Swings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/birddy.md) - [Playground-Inspired Seating Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swing-seat.md) - [Dynamic Interactive Lighting Installations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zava.md) - [Grid-Connected Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/solar-electric-pavilion.md)
