# Swimming Pool Coffee Tables Freshwest Glass-Top Furniture By Elsa Blaine | Published 2008-10-19 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swimming-pool-tables-freshwest-glass-top-coffee-table References: [mocoloco](http://mocoloco.com/archives/006064.php) & [freshwest](http://www.freshwest.co.uk/) This ‘pool table’ spotted at the Tent London event is designed by Freshwest Design. It’s not a game table at all, but a [coffee table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blur-coffee-table) that looks like a [swimming pool](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/inflatable-tanning-pool). The table top is made of an [aqua colored glass](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soda-iced-table), which replicates the blue color of a backyard pool. The simple addition of a tiny acrylic diving board enhances the fun realistic effect. It’s amazing what a small detail like that makes to what would normally be an average glass table. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.4/10 - Popularity: 52% | Activity: 72% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Swimming Pool-inspired Furniture:** Opportunity to create unique furniture pieces that resemble swimming pools, adding a playful and unexpected element to interior design. - **Replica Furniture:** Demand for furniture that replicates the appearance of everyday objects, providing a whimsical and unconventional touch to home decor. - **Interactive Furniture Design:** Innovation opportunities to incorporate interactive elements into furniture design, creating a more engaging and fun user experience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunities in the furniture design industry to create unconventional and eye-catching pieces that appeal to modern consumers. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to incorporate unique and playful furniture pieces into their projects, adding a sense of creativity and surprise to spaces. - **Home Decor:** Innovation opportunities in the home decor industry to introduce replica furniture as a trendy and conversation-starting addition to households. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pool-Inspired Tablecloth Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/la-piscine-tablecloth.md) - [Miniature Toy Billiards Table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vintage-billiards-table.md) - [Fluid Topographic Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dune-table.md) - [Board Game Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scrabble-coffee-table.md) - [Ocean Abyss-Inspired Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abyss-horizon.md) - [Wavy Sculptural Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sculptural-coffee-tables.md) - [Shimmering Oceanic Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/liquid-table.md) - [Striking Limited-Edition Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/limitededition-coffee-table.md) - [Modern Chromatic Billiards Collection](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/monocolor-billiards.md)
