People the world over flock to the Andaman Islands to see the breathtaking image of these swimming elephants splashing about.
In the azure blue water of the Andaman Islands in the Bay of Bengal, the swimming elephants help out by transporting cut timber between isles, which is the island's main source of income. Photographed by French photographer Olivier Blaise, the ‘Swimming Elephants’ series of photographs captures companions Sarasu and Chandi and is mostly caught underwater.
The majestic series is mesmerizing. Looking like surreal art, the elephants look elegant and childishly sweet as they make their way between the isles to finish their work of the day.
