The SwappyBooks app is a modern take on [book exchanges](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/primark-swap-shop). It lets users find local book lovers they can trade titles with. Users scan the ISBN code of the book they want to trade (alternatively the title can be entered). The [location-based app](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/connection-apps) then shows other books nearby that are available for trade. If a title looks good all you need to do is swipe up on it. If a match is made the two bookworms are put in touch to arrange the swap.

Users don't have to sign up for an account or pay any sort of fee. They can also remain anonymous. Currently the SwappyBooks app is available for iOS although an Android version is also in the works.
