An ode to her own cat Zarathustra, Petrova's work is unlike any other series; she claims that the felines can serve to improve the work of famous paintings, adding some welcomed humor into the mix. The Svetlana Petrova paintings all feature a [large, superimposed orange-tinged cat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tails-of-irresistibility). The juxtaposition of the plump animal alongside Da Vinci's 'Mona Lisa' and Velázquez's 'Venus At Her Mirror' is enough to make any viewer chuckle, or at least appreciate a modern interpretation of the authentic pieces. The satirical Petrova portraits shed light upon the way in which technology assists in the remodeling of such projects.
