The newly launched Canopy & Stars at Crane 29 experience has been three years in the making and three weeks under construction. The structure takes the form of a low-impact, zero-carbon building that is made from sustainable building materials from B&Q. Despite its unusual location, the treehouse on a crane is outfitted with everything from [pollinating plants](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treevive) to [small-space solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cabana), demonstrating the ease with which consumers may take away similar ideas for their own homes. For the months that the Canopy & Stars at Crane 29 is installed, it will welcome hundreds of visitors and all profits will be put towards Friends of the Earth. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 87% | Activity: 57% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Sustainable Treehouses:** The trend of constructing treehouses using sustainable materials presents an opportunity for eco-friendly home improvement solutions. - **Unconventional Structures:** The trend of building structures in unexpected places, like a treehouse on a crane, creates unique and memorable experiences for consumers. - **Small-space Solutions:** The trend of incorporating small-space solutions in unconventional structures, such as the treehouse on a crane, offers innovative ideas for maximizing limited living spaces. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Improvement Retail:** The home improvement retail industry can capitalize on the trend of sustainable treehouses by offering eco-friendly building materials and solutions. - **Hospitality:** The hospitality industry can embrace the trend of unconventional structures by incorporating unique accommodations, such as treehouses on cranes, to attract adventurous travelers. - **Architecture and Design:** The architecture and design industry can explore the trend of small-space solutions in unconventional structures to create innovative and space-efficient living environments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Solar Powered Luxe Treehouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-baltic.md) - [Elevated Treetop Modern Cabins](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/buitenverblijf-nest.md) - [Vaulted Structural Telescopic Treehouse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artistree-home.md) - [Nature-Immersive Tranquil Resorts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/treehouse-villas.md) - [Forest-Treetop Retreats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/more-cabin.md) - [Modern Rounded Treehouse Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/burl-treehouse.md) - [Hidden Garden Timber Pavilions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-room-around-a-tree.md) - [Slatted Steel Treehouse Surroundings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sawmill-treehouse.md) - [Tree-Surrounding Mass-Timber Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tree-courtyard-house.md)
