Henning Larsen, in collaboration with engineers and biologists at MOE, developed a sustainable community design called Fælledby that is [entirely constructed from timber](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wood-up). The low-rise housing scheme is set to be constructed on a former junkyard site just outside of Copenhagen, Denmark, and will provide space for 7,000 residents.

The first-of-its-kind [all-timer neighborhood in Copenhagen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skamarken) was thoughtfully developed to balance the needs of people and animals, and is said to "[place nature at its core](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rewild-homes)." The structures of the neighborhood take inspiration from a rural village and will boast a reduced carbon footprint thanks to the use of timber.

The 18-hectare development is set to be divided into three neighborhoods to provide a sense of community within each section, with greenery that meanders between all clusters.
