The German furniture company [DEDON](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kida-armchair) created the 'Swingrest' as a nature swing that can be used outdoors for the best relaxation station. This over-sized lounger allows you to sit back and take in the nice view of the outdoors while resting in its [cushioned interior](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/calma-lounge). It's an over-sized swing that looks like a sofa bed hanging from a tree branch. It also has a spacious, basket-like bottom, a graceful suspension system, a 180-degree rotating tabletop and a special cord that wraps around the exposed tubing. These suspended swings also have an optional cloth cover that can block the sun rays if exposed for a long period. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.2/10 - Popularity: 66% | Activity: 53% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Comfortable Hanging Loungers:** Creating suspended swings with cushioned interiors provides a comfortable and relaxing outdoor experience. - **Nature Swings:** Designing swings that blend seamlessly with the natural environment allows for a serene and immersive outdoor leisure activity. - **Dual-function Swings:** Incorporating features like a rotating tabletop and a cloth cover offers versatile functionality and protection from the elements. ### Who This Affects Most - **Outdoor Furniture:** Developing innovative suspended swings opens up new opportunities for enhancing outdoor leisure and relaxation. - **Home Decor:** Integrating stylish and comfortable suspended swings into interior design provides a unique and cozy seating option for homes. - **Hospitality and Tourism:** Implementing suspended swings in hotels, resorts, and recreational areas can offer guests a luxurious and memorable outdoor experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Elegant Exterior Lounge Beds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lounge-bed.md) - [Minimalist Outdoor Swings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-swing.md) - [Curvaceous Outdoor Swings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/niu-swing.md) - [Precariously Suspended Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suspended-sofa.md) - [Wooden Structural Outdoor Bedes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hut-lounge-bed.md) - [Scandinavian-Inspired Floating Daybeds](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poolsofa.md) - [Playground-Inspired Seating Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swing-seat.md) - [Outdoor Lounging Rocking Hammocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/panama-banana.md) - [Modern Cushioned Outdoor Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pod-outdoor-seating.md)
