Just like any of the usual toys you would find in a Kinder Surprise, the proposer Matthew put in a [tiny robot figure](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinder-joy-funko-harry-potter) of himself inside the chocolate that came with assembly instructions so that his lady love could assemble it. Once assembled, it shows the mini Matthew down on one knee. Though the beautiful [sparkly ring](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nontraditional-engagement-ring) was not included, it was given to her once she realized what it was. This adorable and thoughtful unexpected marriage proposal is a great way to infuse a favorite and fun child’s treat with an extremely important moment in one's life. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 36% | Activity: 65% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Surprise Proposal Trends:** Innovative proposals using unexpected objects or experiences. - **Edible Marriage Proposals:** Innovative ways of using food in marriage proposals. - **DIY Proposal Ideas:** Proposal ideas that involve DIY projects and personalized gifts. ### Where This Applies - **Confectionery Industry:** Opportunity to create special edition chocolate treats for occasions like weddings. - **Wedding Industry:** Opportunity to expand services to include proposal planning and customized experiences. - **Toy Industry:** Opportunity to collaborate with confectionery companies to create unique toys for products like Kinder Surprise. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Festive Digital Chocolate Treats](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinder-chocolate.md) - [Pet-Inspired Proposal Initiatives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/engaged-couples.md) - [Onion Ring Proposals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onion-ring-proposal.md) - [Pickle-Shaped Chocolates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pickle-milk-chocolate.md) - [Compact Hot Beverage Packs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/candy-heart-hot-chocolate-bombs.md) - [Loot Bag-Ready Chocolates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinder-joy-birthday-pack.md) - [Broccoli-Infused Chocolates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tenderstem-tenderchoc.md) - [Carrot-Shaped Engagement Rings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/carrot-gold-engagement-ring.md) - [Confectionery-Inspired Ring Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brilliant-earth.md)
