The designer completely overhauled the interior, introducing many striking and custom decor elements. A definite highlight of the space is a "timber-framed porthole window that has been punctuated in a wall in the sitting room." This element allows for added fluidity and connection amid the rooms in the apartment. Surman Weston embraced the [art deco movement](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uxbridge-bower) when working on this project, showcasing a lot of curved shapes. Another element of wonder in the [chic London apartment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ray-house) is the custom-made fireplace which was constructed with concrete and flecks of terracotta. The mixture of these two unlikely materials makes for an [interesting juxtaposition](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lichelle-silvestry).
