# Realistic Superhero Car Illustrations Gerald Bear Illustrated Superhero Cars to Be More Realistic By Megan Facciuolo | Published 2014-03-29 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/superhero-cars References: [designtaxi](http://designtaxi.com/news/364688/The-Vehicles-From-Famous-Movies-Illustrated-As-Real-Life-Automobiles/) & [facebook](https://www.facebook.com/pages/Gerald-Bear/350384931763157) While the [Batmobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/batmobile-crocs) is a super cool superhero car, it's too obvious and recognizable for a hero that is supposed to be under the radar. He would be more discreet in a vehicle drawn by illustrator Gerald Bear. He has drawn what he thinks vehicles from famous movies would look in real life in this series called 'Unconventional Heroes.' The Milan-based artist modeled the cars after vehicles we see on a daily basis. For example, the car from 'Back To The Future' would look more like a [Fiat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/romero-britto), and the Batmobile would look like a little black [Volkswagen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volkswagen-2). Some illustrations are more realistic than others; 'Starsky and Hutch' would be probably drive a typical sedan, as illustrated in this series, but I don't think Hunt and Louda from the movie 'Rush' would be racing cars in a sleigh. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.5/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 66% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Realistic Superhero Cars:** Opportunity for automobile industry to design more realistic cars for superheros in popular culture. - **Unconventional Vehicle Designs:** Opportunity for automobile industry to experiment with designs inspired by popular movies and TV series. - **Stealthy Superhero Vehicles:** Opportunity for automobile industry to design vehicles that are more discreet and less recognizable for superheroes who need to be under the radar. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Automobile Industry:** Opportunity for automobile industry to design custom vehicles for superheroes in popular culture. - **Entertainment Industry:** Opportunity for entertainment industry to incorporate more realistic and unconventional vehicle designs into movies and TV series. - **Art Industry:** Opportunity for artists and illustrators to create custom vehicle designs for superheroes in popular culture. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Superhero-Themed Hypercar Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pininfarina.md) - [Sleek Superhero Sports Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pininfarina-b95-gotham.md) - [Futuristic Supercar Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/custom-vehicle-designs.md) - [Autonomous Superhero Transportation Pods](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wr322-ugv-batpod.md) - [Stealthy Hero-Inspired Clogs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/batmobile-crocs.md) - [Modern Electrified Retro Automobiles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/two8esl.md) - [Bat-Inspired Luxury Hypercar Events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-hypercar.md) - [Modernized Superhero RC Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hot-wheels-rc-original-edition-batmobile.md) - [Spy-Themed 4x4 Vehicles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harrison-bond-defender.md)
