# Superhero Card Decks This Deck of Cards was Created Using X-Men Characters By Ady Floyd | Published 2015-09-15 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/superhero-card References: [designtaxi](http://designtaxi.com/news/379815/Bold-Vibrant-Deck-Of-Playing-Cards-Featuring-Characters-Of-Uncanny-X-Men/) & [behance.net](https://www.behance.net/gallery/17228959/Uncanny-Playing-Cards) Australian illustrator Mark Eastwood designed this delightful and vibrant superhero card deck that features X-men characters instead of traditional royal family members. The superhero card deck is rightfully titled 'Uncanny Playing Cards.' The beautiful illustrations look identical to the X-men characters in the authentic comic book series. The use of bold and traditional colors schemes also aids in the authentication of the characters. The deck of cards features characters such as Wolverine, Magneto and Mystique that have all been illustrated as queens, jokers and kings. For example, Wolverine is the King of Hearts. This image uses yellow, blue and red tones to create a true representation of the heart-bearing king. The entire series highlights bold and simplistic lines that capture the essence of real comic book characters. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.8/10 - Popularity: 68% | Activity: 39% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Pop Culture](https://www.trendhunter.com/popculture) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Superhero-themed Playing Cards:** Creating card decks featuring popular superhero characters instead of traditional designs. - **Authentic Comic Book-inspired Illustrations:** Using bold and vibrant colors to bring comic book characters to life in card decks. - **Bold and Simplistic Line Art:** Capturing the essence of comic book characters with minimalistic and eye-catching line work. ### Where This Applies - **Gaming and Entertainment:** Opportunity to create unique and collectible playing cards that appeal to comic book fans and gamers alike. - **Art and Design:** Chance for illustrators and designers to explore new markets by creating custom card decks featuring popular superhero characters. - **Merchandise and Licensing:** Potential to collaborate with comic book publishers and licensors to produce officially licensed superhero-themed card decks for fans and collectors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Magic-Themed Card Decks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uno-harry-potter.md) - [Magician-Designed Playing Cards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mystery-playing-cards.md) - [Indie Game Playing Cards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balatro-playing-card-deck.md) - [Card-Comic Book Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/marvel-snap-1.md) - [Customizable Trading Card Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trading-card-holders.md) - [Witchy Series-Inspired Tarot Cards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/agatha-all-along-2.md) - [Superhero Headquarter Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/xmansion.md) - [Film Awards-Inspired Playing Cards](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/film-awardsinspired-playing-cards.md) - [Exclusive Card Game Decks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/uno-x-kartell-deck.md)
