This ingenious fish tank is modeled after a level from the original 8-bit classic. The architect of this tank is currently unknown, but what is known is that the tank weighs in at 55 gallons, and that the structures are made from [LEGO](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunscreen-mist). It is unconfirmed whether or not the goombas are real. The design of the Super Mario fish tank is impeccable, save for the fact that the level that the tank is modeled after isn't one of the game's underwater ones. Still, this colorful aquarium is sure to appeal to the fish in tanks more than a simple castle and colored rocks ever would. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 73% | Activity: 93% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/games) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Geeky 8-bit Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create customizable 8-bit decor for geeks to enhance their living spaces. - **Interactive Fish Tanks:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop fish tanks with interactive elements, such as moving obstacles or LED lights, to engage and entertain both fish and their owners. - **Lego-inspired Aquascaping:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introduce modular building blocks designed specifically for aquariums, allowing aquarium enthusiasts to create unique and custom underwater landscapes. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate technology, such as augmented reality, into home decor products to offer personalized and interactive experiences for customers. - **Pet Care:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop high-tech aquarium accessories, like smart filters or automated feeding devices, to simplify fish care and enhance their well-being. - **LEGO and Toy Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Collaborate with popular gaming franchises to create licensed LEGO sets that enable fans to build and play with iconic game levels and characters. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Video Game-Inspired Homewares](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-mario-home-adventure-life.md) - [Gaming Console Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mario-cart-coffe-table.md) - [Video Game-Inspired Hovercrafts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mario-kart-hovercraft.md) - [Video Game-Inspired LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunscreen-mist.md) - [8-Bit Building Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-super-mario-world-mario-yoshi.md) - [Game Villain Building Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mighty-bowser.md) - [Insulated Video Game Tumblers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-mario-tumbler-book.md) - [Fire-Breathing Toy Figures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jakks-pacific-super-mario-bros-movie.md) - [Racing Video Game-Inspired Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-mario-kart-set.md)
