The drum set was created by SJC custom drums and features an image of the [classic game](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-mario-mario-kart) on the pad, with other goodies that made the game so iconic featured as well. The original Mario is such an icon that it still gets played to this day. The [green tubes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/piranha-plant-camera) that Mario could descend into and ascend out of were so prominent in the game that SJC custom drums decided to use that particular silhouette, in all of its pixelated glory as the main body. The top of the drums also feature the original Mario in the air. These drums will be the number one attraction at all live shows. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 31% | Activity: 58% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/games) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Retro-themed Musical Instruments:** There is an opportunity to create fun, nostalgic musical instruments that cater to fans of classic video games and other popular culture icons. - **Interactive Drumming Experiences:** Integrating images and designs from popular games and media franchises into musical instruments could create interactive and engaging experiences for drummers and audiences alike. - **Customized Drum Set Design:** There is a potential market for custom drum sets that feature personalized designs, images, and branding, allowing musicians to create unique visual identities for their performances. ### Where This Applies - **Musical Instruments:** Companies in the musical instruments industry can explore opportunities to create customized, interactive, and nostalgic instruments that appeal to modern consumers. - **Gaming:** The video game industry could partner with musical instrument manufacturers to create game-themed drum sets and other instruments that enhance the gaming experience and engage fans of popular franchises. - **Live Performance:** For companies that provide live performance solutions, incorporating customized and interactive drum sets into shows could create unique and memorable experiences for audiences, further differentiating their offerings from competitors. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Video Game-Inspired Homewares](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-mario-home-adventure-life.md) - [Brick Toy Revivals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/game-boy-set.md) - [Racing Video Game-Inspired Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-mario-kart-set.md) - [Gaming Star Toppers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/invincibility-star.md) - [Video Game Travel Merchandise](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-super-mario-travel-items.md) - [Video Game-Inspired Ice Creams](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-mario-bros-wonder-1.md) - [8-Bit Building Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-super-mario-world-mario-yoshi.md) - [Gaming Console Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mario-cart-coffe-table.md) - [Futuristic Flatpack Drum Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/future-drum-kit.md)
