The Super Mario Bros Movie launched at the start of April with massive success. In just a few weeks, the movie surpassed $1 billion USD in worldwide revenue. For the past month, the movie was available in each region with regional localizations, such as an English version being available in North America. However, with such high demand for the movie, many customers are requesting to see the original Japanese language version of the movie, even in non-Japanese-speaking regions.

The studio is responding to this demand by launching the original Japanese version in select regions for a limited time. For the North American release, the movie will be available on April 28th for a limited time. It will play in select theatres across major cities such as Los Angeles, Toronto, New York, and Vancouver.
