This cake is styled like a chessboard and features [Super Mario heroes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-mario-mario-kart) on one side and villains on another. If you've ever wanted to take a bite out of Bowser, now is your chance. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.4/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 94% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/games) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Gamer-themed Cakes:** Gamer-themed cakes are becoming increasingly popular, providing opportunities for bakers to showcase creativity and skill in designing edible works of art. - **Customizable Cakes:** The ability to customize cakes to fit specific themes and interests, like these gamer-themed cakes, is a trend that provides opportunities for personalized and unique products. - **Edible Sculptures:** Cakes designed as edible sculptures, such as this Super Mario Bros. cake, showcase the convergence of art and food, and represent an opportunity for innovative and imaginative creations. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Bakery:** Bakeries can capitalize on the gamer-themed cake trend to offer unique and customizable options that will set them apart and attract more customers. - **Event Planning:** Event planners can incorporate gamer-themed cakes as a unique and memorable addition to various events and celebrations, from birthday parties to gaming conventions. - **Food Artistry:** The trend of edible sculptures like this Super Mario Bros. cake can open up opportunities for food artists to showcase their creative talents and bring unique experiences to customers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Nostalgic Gaming Cookies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oreo-x-super-mario.md) - [Game-Themed Cake Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/among-us-impostor-cake.md) - [Video Game-Inspired Ice Creams](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-mario-bros-wonder-1.md) - [Video Game Ice Creams](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-mario-x-baskinrobbins.md) - [Video Game Character Cafes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/toadstool-cafe.md) - [Video Game-Themed Sundaes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nintendo-cold-stone-creamery.md) - [Video Game-Inspired Desserts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mario-kart-cookie-cruiser.md) - [Expansive Gamer Treat Menus](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/baskinrobbins-super-mario-menu.md) - [Video Game-Inspired LEGO Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunscreen-mist.md)
