The design was inspired by [beanbags](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/perron-pillo) and from afar, it's not hard to see the resemblance. The Supadupa Sofa by Alexander Lotersztain has [three units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hulala-home-elitenest) and can sit up to three people. The sofa itself is held together by a [wood frame](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/reimagined-everyday-sofa) and has a hard foam base on the bottom. Judging from the pictures in the gallery, would you want to get one of these sofas? ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.7/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 50% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Beanbag-inspired Furniture:** Designing furniture inspired by the familiar shape and comfort of beanbags could revolutionize the traditional couch industry. - **Modular Sofas:** Creating furniture that can be adapted and rearranged in different configurations can provide versatility and convenience to customers. - **Comfort-driven Design:** Designing furniture pieces with ultimate comfort as the main priority can create new opportunities in the home furniture market. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Furniture manufacturers can explore new and innovative designs that incorporate beanbag inspiration to cater to customers seeking unique and comfortable seating options. - **Interior Design:** Integrating modular sofas into interior design plans can provide a contemporary flair to spaces while providing a practical solution to adaptability. - **E-commerce Retail:** Comfort-driven design can greatly enhance the value proposition of online furniture retail stores aiming to differentiate themselves from traditional brick-and-mortars. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Laidback Modular Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/natuzzi-bao.md) - [Ultra-Comfy Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cushy-lounge-chair.md) - [Plush Oversized Sectionals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/albany-park-kova-pit-sofa.md) - [Compact Pillowy Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sander-series.md) - [Precariously Suspended Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/suspended-sofa.md) - [Plush Sculptural Lounge Sofas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rokko.md) - [Organic Contour Couch Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/siwa-sofa.md) - [Ultra-Relaxed Sofa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/knoll-perron-pillo.md) - [Modular Bulbous Lounge Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sundae-modular-lounge.md)
