# Mug-Shaped Seats The Sunhan Kwan Coffee Chair Spills Away from Symmetry By Renee Ramsarran | Published 2011-02-10 | Pop Culture Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sunhan-kwan-coffee-chair References: [incrediblethings](http://www.incrediblethings.com/art-design/spill-your-lap-in-the-coffee-chair/) & [designboom](http://www.designboom.com/weblog/cat/8/view/12842/sunhan-kwon-coffee-chair.html) You’ll most likely want more than one serving of the Sunhan Kwan Coffee Chair. Its [asymmetrical design and familiar shape](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yay-chair) makes it stand out from the rest. The chair looks just like a cup sitting on a saucer. Its side handle provides an added function as a place to hang your jacket or purse. The Korean designer’s recreation of this [simple silhouette](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sitter-chair) conjures up images of a [steaming and comforting mug](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mario-mug) of your favorite warm drink. I can easily imagine these seats in a quaint café or restaurant. The Sunhan Kwan Coffee Chair successfully combines functional and decorative design.
