The [incense holder](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nuvolino) features a wavy construction that's inspired by the appearance of [traditional Korean building rooftops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/le-labo-bukchon-hanok) from the Hanseong period. The final result is a simple yet elegant decor piece that supports having incense placed on it, while also accommodating small essentials to act as a valet tray between uses, if desired. The Sumaksae Incense Holder is capable of being used on its own or in multiples and features a simple all-white finish that's accented by small touches of yellow on the ends of the base. These finishing touches help to modernize the piece and balance the old with the new. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 77% | Activity: 14% | Freshness: 16% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Modern](https://www.trendhunter.com/modern) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Architecture-inspired Decor:** Opportunity for designers to create decor pieces inspired by architectural elements from different cultures and time periods. - **Multi-functional Design:** Opportunity to design products that serve multiple purposes, such as the incense holder doubling as a valet tray. - **Modernizing Traditional Crafts:** Potential for incorporating modern design elements into traditional crafts, creating a fusion of old and new aesthetics. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** Home decor companies can tap into the trend of architecture-inspired decor and offer unique and visually appealing products. - **Design:** Designers can explore the concept of multi-functionality in their products, combining practicality with aesthetic appeal. - **Craftsmanship:** Traditional craft industries can embrace the opportunity to modernize their offerings and attract a younger, design-conscious audience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Artfully Sculptural Incense Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aw030001na.md) - [Sleek Metallic Incense Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/luxury-incense-holder.md) - [Modern Meditative Incense Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cage-incense-holder.md) - [Artistic Avian Incense Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-incense-holder.md) - [Posh Portable Incense Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rin-incense-holder.md) - [Tranquil Wooden Incense Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rin-harmony.md) - [Dual-Function Incense Packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/yongxi-incense-storage-and-holder.md) - [Modern Incense Burner Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-incense-burner.md) - [Minimalist Incense Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lunar-incense-holder.md)
