# Spooky Sugar Cubes These Sugar Cube Skulls are Designed by Designer Snow Violent By Thomas Wade-West | Published 2013-10-07 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sugar-cube-skull References: [snowviolent.blogspot](http://snowviolent.blogspot.ca/2011/11/skull-sugar-from-sketch-to-prototype.html) Wake up to a deathly cup of coffee with these [sugar cube skulls](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hot-chocolate-cubes). Unfortunately, these are not available in grocery stores, rather, these are simply designs created by [Snow Violent](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outdoor-care). These creative cube-like structures were hand carved by larger blocks of sugar; the skulls are complete with cross bones too. The detail on these skulls accentuates the eyes, nose and individual teeth which is quite simply astounding. Imagine adding a few of these skulls to your [morning cup of joe](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/coffee-ice-cube) to bring some life to your coffee (it sounds very conflicting.) These pieces are so nicely crafted that the thought of consuming them is a difficult task in itself. Snow Violent displays many of her skulls and bones on her Blogspot page. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 14% | Activity: 18% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Skull-themed Products:** Explore the rising trend of skull-themed products, including unique designs like sugar cube skulls. - **Artistic Food Presentation:** Discover how artistic food presentation is becoming a popular trend, as seen in the intricately carved sugar cube skulls. - **Creative Culinary Designs:** Embrace the trend of creative culinary designs, exemplified by the detailed and visually stunning sugar cube skulls. ### Where This Applies - **Food and Beverage:** The food and beverage industry can capitalize on the skull-themed product trend by offering unique and visually appealing food items. - **Art and Design:** The art and design industry can explore opportunities in artistic food presentation, incorporating creative culinary designs as a form of artistic expression. - **Hospitality and Events:** The hospitality and events industry can incorporate skull-themed products and creative culinary designs to add an element of surprise and uniqueness to their offerings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Celebratory Skull-Shaped Drink Mixes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skull-hot-chocolate-bomb.md) - [Cloud-Shaped Stevia Cubes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/snowy-cubes.md) - [Fizzing Skull-Shaped Candy Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-sour-scary-skulls.md) - [Squishy Skull-Shaped Candies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/swizzels-squashies-squeletons.md) - [Coffin-Shaped Ice Cream Tubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-alchemist-by-jdo.md) - [Sugar Skull Cookie Doughs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sugar-skull-shape-sugar-cookie-dough.md) - [Instant Coffee Cubes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/instant-coffee-cubes.md) - [Architectural Sugar Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-story-of-salt-and-sugar.md) - [Filled Chocolate Coffee Cubes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mocha-melts.md)
