# Skirted Bathtubs Gruppo Treesse's Elegant 'New Classic' Tubs Are Stunning By Going Like Sixty | Published 2008-12-22 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stylish-bath-luxury-tubalicious-designs-from-gruppo-treesse References: [trendir](http://www.trendir.com/archives/002748.html) & [gruppotres.it](http://www.gruppotres.it/entra.html) Having a [bathtub](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathtope) that isn't built in doesn't mean sacrificing yourself to a tub with stubby little legs. These New Classic tubs from [Gruppo Treesse](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/video-mapping-experience) are called 'skirted' and are stunning for a [traditional bathroom](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sustainable-bathroom-design) or one that is transitional. The tub will be the focal point for your new bathroom. Each is fully loaded with amenities such as whirlpool-style jets. **Implications** - The idea of contemporary designs doesn't always imply the complete abolition of the old. Modern looks may be high in demand, but that doesn't necessarily mean that consumers don't have a soft spot for traditional aesthetics. The combination of old and new designs brings people the best of both worlds without seeming too outdated. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.1/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **New Classic Tub Designs:** Explores the trend of integrating traditional aesthetics with modern designs in bathtubs for a transitional or traditional bathroom. - **Skirted Bathtubs:** Highlights the trend of non-built-in bathtubs with elegant designs and whirlpool-style jets. - **Fusion of Old and New:** Showcases the trend of blending old and new design elements to create a timeless appeal in bathroom fixtures. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Bathroom Fixtures:** Offers disruptive innovation opportunities in creating bathtub designs that combine traditional and modern aesthetics. - **Home Improvement:** Presents opportunities for disruptive innovations in the market for non-built-in bathtubs with luxurious features. - **Interior Design:** Explores the potential for disrupting the interior design industry by incorporating a fusion of traditional and contemporary elements in bathroom fixtures. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sophisticated High-Design Bath Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soaking-tub.md) - [Hardwood Based Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beam-bathtub.md) - [Rounded Hydromassage Tubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aretusa-tub-by-claudio-papa.md) - [Customizable Minimalist Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acquabella-noon-slate.md) - [Luxe Translucent Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lusso-amore-freestanding-resin-bath.md) - [Removable Bathtub Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathtrope.md) - [Japanese Snack Box-Inspired Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bento-starck-box.md) - [High-End Walk-In Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/american-standard.md) - [Malleable Removable Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathtope.md)
