People tend to not give sturdy wall hooks a lot of attention because they’ve typically always looked the same and had only one function: to be covered up with all your stuff. But times have changed and designers have started to focus on the small home accents they never gave a second thought to before. The Homerun Hooks are proof of that. And contrary to popular belief that something needs to be bulky and ugly to be sturdy, these cheerful and cartoon-shaped hooks can take on much more than you can imagine. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Cartoon-styled Home Accents:** Designers are focusing on creating cute and fun home décor items. - **Functional Wall Hooks:** Wall hooks are getting designed to add more to the look of the space than simply provide basic functionality. - **Sturdy Accents for Delicate Items:** More designers are coming up with ways to make sturdy objects attractive while protecting delicate items. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Companies specializing in home decor can create lines of attractive and functional wall hooks. - **Fashion:** Fashion brands can collaborate with home brands to create attractive ways of displaying their items. - **Children's Decor and Apparel:** Brands that specialize in children's décor and apparel can incorporate cartoon design elements into their products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sporty Climbing-Inspired Hangers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grip-hanger.md) - [Quirky Structural Clothes Hangers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hang-we.md) - [Rotating Punctuation Mark Hangers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/emotion-hanger.md) - [Jewelry-Like Handbag Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/elegant-hook-options.md) - [Hardware-Free Towel Hooks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adhesive-towel-hooks.md) - [Bright Whimsical Home Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blue-balcony.md) - [Vibrant Organizational Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/colorful-pegboard.md) - [Deflated Balloon Clothing Hangers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chong-shop.md) - [Banana-Inspired Clothing Hangers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/banannang.md)
