Although I knew that Mardi Gras festivities were out of this world, until I stumbled upon this stuffed animal dress, I didn't realize that it was also a costume party as well. Forget those dollar store metallic bead necklaces -- I want to head over to New Orleans just to play dress up.

Designed and created by New Orleans-based crafter Miss Malaprop, the stuffed animal dress looks a lot easier to make once you see the raw materials instead of the finished product. All she used was an oversized denim halter from a nearby thrift store and a [plethora of plushies](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/urupocha-chan). With a mixture of [machine sewing and hand sewing](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crochet-collection), the stuffed animal dress was born!

Although it's no [Kermit the Frog](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lady-gaga-rocks-kermit-the-frog) shirt, the stuffed animal dress is definitely impressive.
