This new piece, the Structure chair, is the latest from the South Korean designer. The Structure chair is simple yet elegant, elaborate yet streamlined. **Implications** - The [fanciful lattice chair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woven-chair-designs) is made out of [iron](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barred-collection) and has an [hourglass design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sitter-chair) on the back. The entire chair is a dark black that makes it easy to place in any room of the house. The legs on the Structure chair are interesting because the two in the back are placed so closely together, while the legs in the back are set at a wide angle. Amazingly, this basic design creates a lot of drama. His work never disappoints. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.8/10 - Popularity: 3% | Activity: 42% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Streamlined Furniture Design:** Opportunities exist to disrupt the furniture industry by creating furniture pieces that are simple yet elegant and streamline in design, like the Structure chair. - **Fanciful Lattice Patterns:** Furniture pieces that incorporate intricate lattice patterns like the Structure chair present opportunities for disruptive innovation in the decorative arts industry. - **Creative Use of Iron:** Incorporating iron in unique ways like the Structure chair presents opportunities for innovation in the metalworking and furniture manufacturing industries. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The Structure chair presents opportunities for disruptive innovation in the furniture manufacturing industry through unique design and material utilization. - **Metalworking:** Opportunities exist for disruptive innovation in the metalworking industry by creatively utilizing iron in furniture pieces like the Structure chair. - **Decorative Arts:** Furniture pieces that incorporate intricate lattice patterns, like the Structure chair, present opportunities for disruptive innovation in the decorative arts industry through unique design and surface treatments. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Structurally Complex Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-arch-chair.md) - [Sleek Steel Structural Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/combchair.md) - [Chaotically Natural Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kkochgalam-chair.md) - [Dynamic Structural Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldont-chair.md) - [Wavy Lounge Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wavy-lounge-chair.md) - [Ultra-Precise Woven Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/woven-chair-design.md) - [Sustainable Structural Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-limbo-chair.md) - [Draped Fabric-Clad Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hidahida.md) - [Leather-Accented Industrial Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/l1-chair-from-object-leuci.md)
