Strong's Spiked Mace is a much friendlier, less intimidating version of the medieval mace, so instead of the rusty ball and chain look, children will get a [colorful version](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/b-is-for-ball) that's anything but harmful. It's made from extremely soft material making it safe for the little ones to play with. The plushy even makes a rattling sound when it's swung around. Instead of the usual plastic swords and [Nerf](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nerf-dinosquad-armorstrike-blaster) guns, Strong's Spiked Mace is a much safer option for children to play with if make-believe adventures are involved. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.7/10 - Popularity: 9% | Activity: 5% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/toys) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Child-friendly Battle Gear:** Strong's Spiked Mace offers a safer option for children to engage in make-believe battles. - **Soft Toys for Play:** The trend leans towards soft toys, like Strong's Spiked Mace, that are safer and more imaginative for play instead of the usual plastic options. - **Rattling Sound in Toys:** Adding sound features to toys, like Strong's Spiked Mace, makes them more interactive and engaging for children. ### Where This Applies - **Toy Industry:** The toy industry can focus on developing safer, more imaginative play options like Strong's Spiked Mace. - **Clothing and Accessories Industry:** Companies in this industry can produce more child-friendly costumes and accessories that encourage imaginative play without the risk of injury. - **Sound Toys Industry:** Companies that produce sound toys can further develop this feature to make toys more interactive and engaging for children. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [RPG-Inspired Plush Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kobold-plushies.md) - [Multi-Sensory Play Experiences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/meditate.md) - [Good-Natured Mischief Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vlad-frank-midnight-mischief.md) - [Gender-Neutral Stroller Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/herotron.md) - [Children's Wearable Blankets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/super-blanky.md) - [Animal-Inspired Sensory Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spike-the-fine-motor-hedgehog-fidget-friend.md) - [Educational Plush Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slumberkins.md) - [Screen-Free Play Companions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fabli.md) - [Buildable Paper Playsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/castle-playset.md)
