The laptop is designed specifically for people who play first-person shooters, or FPS, both in terms of its aesthetics and its functionality. Though people often lump all serious gamers into the same category, that's something of a false equivalency. Someone who focuses on FPS games isn't guaranteed to know even the first thing about another genre. With that in mind, Asus's new [gaming laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gaming-laptops1) give gamers exactly what they need. The Strix Scar II laptop has a keyboard with highlight WASD keys, since those are the keys used for moving one's player around while battling other players in FPS games. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.7/10 - Popularity: 7% | Activity: 7% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/games) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Game-specific Laptop Models:** Creating laptops designed specifically for different gaming genres presents an opportunity for companies to cater to the unique needs of gamers. - **Genre-specific Aesthetics:** Developing laptops with aesthetics tailored to specific gaming genres allows companies to target niche markets and enhance the gaming experience. - **Functional Keyboards for Gaming:** Designing keyboards with specialized features, such as highlighted keys, customized for specific gaming genres, opens up opportunities for companies to provide gamers with optimized gameplay experiences. ### Where This Applies - **Gaming Laptop Manufacturers:** Manufacturers specializing in gaming laptops have an opportunity to release laptop models specifically tailored for different gaming genres, catering to the diverse needs of gamers. - **Gaming Accessories:** Companies in the gaming accessories industry can explore producing genre-specific keyboards, offering gamers specialized tools for different gaming genres. - **Gaming Peripherals:** Developing gaming peripherals that are optimized for specific gaming genres, such as keyboards with highlighted keys, presents an opportunity for companies to tap into the unique demands of gamers. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [High-Performance Gaming Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highperformance-gaming-laptops.md) - [Turbo-Clocked eSports Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-rog-strix-g1814.md) - [Feature-Packed Gamer Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-rog-zephyrus-g15.md) - [Advanced Gamer Performance Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-rog-strix-g18.md) - [Convertible Gamer Laptop Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-rog-strix-flow-x16.md) - [Power-Packed eSports Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-rog-strix-g16.md) - [Military-Grade Gaming Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-tuf-gaming-a17.md) - [Playful High-Performance Laptops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/asus-rog-zephyrus-m16.md) - [Next-Gen Gamer Laptop Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/msi-katana-15.md)
