# Bright Striped Bathtubs 'Bath Tuning' Project Adds Fun and Color to Your Daily Routine By TrendHead | Published 2009-01-23 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stripy-bath-tubs-the-russian-bath-tuning-project References: [thetrendygirl.net](http://www.thetrendygirl.net/2009/01/bath-tuning.html) & [behance.net](http://www.behance.net/Gallery/Bath-tuning/170084) I like these [wacky-colored bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathtope). The striped yellow and black ones look a bit like giant cartoon-style honey pots. And how kitschy is the [pink tub](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hewi-and-barbie) that says simply, "Wash up?" Very neat. Very tacky. The designer tubs are part of a conceptual project called ‘Bath Tuning.’ It involves the idea of making a number of variations on the same model or object. I like the idea of tuning habitual items. It's good fun for a [happy-looking bathroom](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/onda-apartment). ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 77% | Activity: 69% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Customized Bathtubs:** Opportunity for companies to offer personalized and unique bathtub designs to cater to individual preferences and styles. - **Colorful Bathroom Fixtures:** Growing demand for vibrant and eye-catching bathroom fixtures that add an element of fun and personal expression to the space. - **Conceptual Design Projects:** Emerging trend of conceptual design projects that aim to transform everyday objects into visually intriguing and innovative pieces. ### Who This Affects Most - **Home Decor:** Innovative bathtubs open up opportunities for the home decor industry to create unique and vibrant bathroom designs. - **Interior Design:** The trend for colorful bathroom fixtures presents disruptive innovation opportunities for interior designers to create visually striking and personalized spaces. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Conceptual design projects like 'Bath Tuning' inspire furniture manufacturers to explore new designs and concepts for bathroom fixtures. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pink-Hued Bath Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barbie-x-hewi.md) - [Sophisticated High-Design Bath Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/soaking-tub.md) - [Luxe Translucent Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lusso-amore-freestanding-resin-bath.md) - [Removable Bathtub Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bathtrope.md) - [Light-Filled Public Restrooms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vivid-toilet-interior.md) - [Colorful Resin Faucet Handles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chromablock.md) - [Symmetrical Curved Bathtubs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/victoria-alberts-barcelona-collection.md) - [Developmental Bath Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bath-toy-collection.md) - [Chromatic Concrete Bathroom Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kast-alto-collection.md)
