The ruler comes in both matte steel and mirror-finished brass, and boasts edge-to-edge markings in order to help users perform more accurate measurements as they go. The unit opens up to instantly double in size, while also allowing users to create long, straight lines in their work with more ease. The 'Stria' ruler offers a tactile user experience thanks to a series of snaps that occur at 45-degree increments and help to keep the operator in control of the unit with better agility. The high-quality construction of the ruler makes it piece of equipment that's suitable for passing down to the next generation. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 76% | Activity: 49% | Freshness: 9% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Fashionable Measuring Tools:** Making traditionally mundane tools a stylish statement with added functionality - **Precise Edge-to-edge Markings:** Creating more accurate measurements through innovative design and enhanced accessibility - **Innovative Tactile User Experience:** Reimagining the way users interact with measuring tools by providing more control and agility ### Where This Applies - **Fashion and Design:** Incorporating stylish and functional tools into the creative process - **Construction and Manufacturing:** Implementing innovative edge-to-edge marking technology for greater accuracy - **Product Design and Development:** Continuously updating and improving on the user experience of traditional tools to elevate the end result ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Geometric Dynamic Stationary](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hexagonal-ruler.md) - [Hybrid Angled Stationary Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/25-ruler.md) - [Haute Hybrid Designer Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rotio-compass-and-ruler.md) - [Multifunctional Angular Desktop Rulers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hexagonal-ruler-set.md) - [Minimal Stainless Steel Rulers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shinwa.md) - [Titanium EDC Rolling Rulers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tiroler-20.md) - [Digital Design Desktop Rulers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/neoruler.md) - [Magnifying Measurement Rulers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fun-sizes-ruler.md) - [Compact Precise Sketching Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/horizon-helvetica.md)
