I think this has to do with its [cartoonish lines and shape](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/atypical-chair). If I bumped into this seat in the dark, I probably would still mistake it for a [scary chomping creature](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/introvert-chair). Designed by Moran Ein Dor, the Stretch no.3 chair feature what look to be porcelain or plastic poles that support the seat surface. This furniture piece would be perfect for [modern design firms](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pratone-chair) or quirky households. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.8/10 - Popularity: 43% | Activity: 34% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Cartoonish Furniture:** Designing furniture with cartoonish lines and shape can create an endearing and cute aesthetic. - **Quirky Household Items:** Creating quirky and unconventional household items can appeal to individuals looking for unique and playful designs. - **Modern Design Trends:** The use of porcelain or plastic poles in furniture design can contribute to a modern and sleek aesthetic. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Design:** Designing furniture with a cartoonish and quirky style opens up opportunities for unique and innovative seating options. - **Interior Design:** Integrating quirky and unconventional household items into interior design can offer a fresh and playful look to spaces. - **Home Decor:** Combining modern design trends with unique materials in home decor can provide customers with stylish and contemporary options. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Insect-Like Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-mantis-chair.md) - [Rope-Like Dynamic Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/caterpillar-lounge.md) - [Suspenseful Statement Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/edgeofyr.md) - [Modular Chromatic Child Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kidzilla-chair.md) - [Curvaceous Padded Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/talk-chair.md) - [Flatpack Ultra-Modular Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-chair.md) - [Low-Lying Profile Cushioned Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kouros-maghsoudi.md) - [Deco-Inspired Chunky Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mt-curve-big-chair.md) - [Dynamic Typeface-Like Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/orma-chair.md)
