Unfolding as a if flower in bloom, the Tulpi street chair is a clever way to increase urban accessibility and adds a sense of playfulness that is sure to inspire feelings of well-being. The clever design aspect that stands out with the Tulpi is that just like a real tulip, the street seating closes up a night, while it also turns 360-degrees. The [fold-up feature](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/patan-chair) ensures that the colorful seats don't collect dirt, waste or rainwater. Tulpi has also developed a [tulip-shaped public garbage bin](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planter-300) that is animal-proof in addition to being a refreshing site. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.5/10 - Popularity: 52% | Activity: 74% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Floral Street Seating:** Designing street chairs inspired by flowers provides an opportunity to add color and playfulness to urban spaces while increasing accessibility. - **360-degree Street Seating:** Creating street chairs that turn 360-degrees to face any direction could be a disruptive innovation opportunity for urban accessibility. - **Foldable Street Seating:** Designing street chairs that fold up at night to prevent dirt and waste collection provides an opportunity for more hygienic and low-maintenance urban spaces. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Urban Design:** Creating innovative and playful street seating designs like Tulpi's tulip-inspired chairs and garbage bins could disrupt traditional urban design expectations. - **Public Spaces:** Designing street chairs and garbage bins that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing can disrupt the public space industry by providing solutions for both practical and emotional needs. - **Sustainable Design:** Tulpi's street chairs and garbage bins provide an example of sustainable design by preventing waste accumulation and introducing fresh elements to urban spaces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Accessible Urban Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/urban-furniture-concept.md) - [Playful Recycled Aluminum Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tuba-chair.md) - [Self-Defence Tubular Inflatable Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/street-seat.md) - [Flower Petal-Inspired Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-phlox-collection.md) - [Pastel-Tonal Abstract Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flowie.md) - [Kinetic Bloom Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/blooming-furniture.md) - [Color Palette-Exploring Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/taptap-chair.md) - [Flower-Like Portable Lanterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tulit-led-lantern.md) - [Recycled Dynamic Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bultan-chair.md)
