How cool is it to be able to cross stitch a Banksy - rather than picture of a kitten holding some flowers? The patterns are provided free and are surprisingly simple to do (although it’s a whole world of pain reading the charts). I would recommend doing your [street art cross stitch](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crochet-patterns) with a bottle of Jack Daniels next to you. It will help the hours fly by. Also if you are not a fan of Banksy then this cool site also offers patterns in guns, Michael Jackson and for those with a fetish out there people wearing gas masks. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 67% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Life](https://www.trendhunter.com/life) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Street Art Cross Stitch:** Cross-stitching street art can be a new form of subversive, artistic expression - **Craft Innovation:** Mixing traditional techniques with modern designs to create innovative art and crafts - **Personalized DIY Art:** Allowing individuals to create personalized artworks using cross-stitch techniques and designs ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Craft Enthusiast Market:** Providing craft enthusiasts with new innovative techniques and designs - **Art and Design Market:** Creating new market trends for innovative DIY art and design - **E-commerce Market:** Creating online retail sales opportunities for personalized DIY art and craft designs ## Related on Trend Hunter - [DIY Embroidery Ornaments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diy-stitched-ornament-kits.md) - [Statement Street Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/surreal-street-art-1.md) - [Tree-Integrated Mysterious Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tree-mural.md) - [Felt-Made Novelty Shops](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bourdon-street-chippy.md) - [Playful Crochet Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crochet-collection.md) - [Astronomy Embroidery Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-map-11-hoop-kit.md) - [DIY Crafts Subscription Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sampler-club.md) - [Custom Crossword Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/crosscraft.md) - [Crafty Yearly Journals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2022-phenology-wheel-stitch-journal.md)
