# Dessert-Inspired Drinking These Strawberry Cheesecake Jello Shots are Delectable By Courtney Scharf | Published 2012-05-24 | Lifestyle Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/strawberry-cheesecake-jello-shots References: [brit.co](http://www.brit.co/food/spike-your-sweets-strawberry-cheesecake-jello-shots/) Jaymee Sire of Brit.co has released an amazingly high-end recipe for [strawberry cheesecake jello shots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/strawberry-cheesecake-drink-series). The unlikely flavoring of the shots adds a shot of unexpected deliciousness to the fun form of drinking. Made using extra ingredients including vanilla extract and [cream cheese](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cheesecake-bites), the jello shots are admittedly more difficult to make than more straightforward recipes. A lovely touch which sets this recipe apart is that the shots are actually placed within strawberries, adding a dose of health to an otherwise less-than-nutritious snack. The recipe notes that a good option to make the shots more dessert-like is to add [crushed graham crackers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/studio-cheez) to act as a crust to the berries. Albeit more complicated than the average jello shots, these are a more delicious and creamy take on the food-meets-drinking mash-up. Sure to be a great summer hit, many will likely try their hand at this recipe. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.3/10 - Popularity: 85% | Activity: 96% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Dessert-inspired Cocktails:** Opportunity to create alcoholic drinks inspired by popular dessert flavors. - **Upscale Jello Shots:** Innovation opportunity to elevate jello shots with premium ingredients and presentation for high-end events. - **Healthy Desserts:** Market potential for baked goods and desserts that incorporate fresh fruits and offer healthier alternatives using low-sugar and low-fat ingredients. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Alcohol Manufacturing:** Opportunity to create new lines of flavorful and unique alcoholic beverages targeted toward younger demographics. - **Event Planning:** Innovation potential for upscale event planners to introduce new and innovative dessert and drink pairing options to their clients. - **Bakery Industry:** Opportunity to market healthier dessert options to health-conscious consumers and introduce fruit-infused desserts as a new trend in the industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Cinnamon Whiskey Jello Shots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cinnamon-whiskey-geltain-shot.md) - [Unconventional RTD Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unconventional-rtd-cocktails.md) - [Dirty Martini Jelly Shots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocktail-jellies.md) - [Festive Jelly Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holiday-cosmo-cocktail-jelly-cake.md) - [Next-Gen Gelatin Desserts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gelee.md) - [Cocktail-Inspired Desserts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/layered-desserts.md) - [Spoon-Served Spherified Shooters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highwire-lounge.md) - [Romantic Vodka Whipped Creams](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whipshots-strawberry.md) - [Cheddar-Topped Cocktails](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cheddar-espresso-martini.md)
