Although the look might not diverge too far from the original design, the seat is much more dynamic. With its rounded edges, flailing arms and contemporary colorway, the Strap Chair would make a welcomed piece for any patio or backyard setting. Designed for French furniture maker Moustache, the Strap Chair helps the company celebrates its fifth anniversary. According to Design Milk, "The special straps that are wound around the [tubular frame](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loopy-chair) are woven in France exclusively for Moustache and create the basket-like seat structure." The Strap Chair is [stackable](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/icon-chair) and can be used as easily indoors as outdoors, depending on what people want or need. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 36% | Activity: 45% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Modern Outdoor Furniture:** Scholten & Baijings has revitalized a classic outdoor furniture piece and created an opportunity for modern outdoor furniture designs. - **Dynamic Seating:** The Scholten & Baijings Strap Chair has a unique, contemporary design that helps to create opportunities for dynamic seating in both indoor and outdoor environments. - **Stackable Furniture:** The new Scholten & Baijings Strap Chair is stackable, which is a trending feature for furniture that optimizes for portability and space-saving. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Scholten & Baijings Strap Chair redesign highlights opportunities in the furniture manufacturing industry for innovative design. - **Outdoor Living:** The design of the Strap Chair paves the way for sleek and modern outdoor furniture, revolutionizing the outdoor living industry. - **Interior Design:** The Stackable Strap Chair would perfectly attract designers who prove more functionality without compromising style in the interior design industry. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [70s-Inspired Outdoor Seating Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/70sinspired-outdoor-seating.md) - [Contemporary Leather Classic Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sling-chair-1.md) - [Dynamic Outdoor Upholstered Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/africa-collection.md) - [Retro Outdoor High Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/high-armchair.md) - [Traditional Vibrant Outdoor Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/net-lounge.md) - [Outdoor Scandinavian Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bste-lounge-chair.md) - [Reimagined Colorful Chair Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stedelijk-chair.md) - [Modernized Outdoor Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pedrali-nar-chair-6360.md) - [Industrial Leather-Padded Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/strip-chair-by-henge.md)
