"Stephen King's Stranger Love Songs" is a new series from Brazilian artist Butcher Billy that reimagines [popular love songs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whole-new-sound) from the 1970s and 1980s as if they were horror books written by the popular author. The vintage book covers pay tribute to such songs as The Smith's "There is a Light That Never Goes Out" and Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart."

Surprisingly the love songs from those two decades lend themselves well to the [horror fiction genre](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-tales-of-the-weird). Lionel Richie's "Hello" is much more sinister when you imagine the words coming from a killer clown. While Butcher Billy's "Stephen King's Stranger Love Songs" aren't actual books, the art from the covers can be purchased as [prints or on t-shirts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freaks-store-2).
