The shoe was originally known as the Kobe 1 as it was launched by the athlete during the 2000 Championship series. It took on the new name in 2013 and this time around, it is designed with inspiration from the [cult sci-fi film series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-collection-2) and the iconic Stormtroopers. The basketball shoe retains most of the design elements and has a white molded synthetic material that makes up the upper as it sits on top of an EVA midsole base.
