The Corner Shelf offers a space-saving solution to creating more room for storage with a shelf that is [mounted to the wall](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pli-steel-wall-shelf), rather than resting on the floor. This is ideal for adding a designated area to keep knick-knacks, items and clutter in a stylish way. The Corner Shelf is a simple unit featuring a [floating plank](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ledge-shelf) that mounts to the wall with a corner and back siding. This creates a similar shape to a traditional shelf without the furniture piece needing to rest on the floor for support. The shelf comes in a variety of sizes to suit multiple layouts. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 97% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Space-saving Furniture:** Creating furniture pieces that maximize storage in small layouts by utilizing wall space rather than floor space. - **Minimalist Design:** Designing furniture with a sleek and clean aesthetic that allows for functionality without taking up much space. - **Customizable Shelving:** Offering shelves in various sizes and configurations to accommodate different room layouts and storage needs. ### Where This Applies - **Interior Design:** Incorporating space-saving furniture solutions into interior design plans to optimize small layouts. - **Home Organization:** Developing products and services that help homeowners maximize storage and reduce clutter in small living spaces. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Exploring innovative ways to design and manufacture space-saving furniture pieces that cater to the needs of individuals living in small apartments or houses. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Customizable Storage Furniture Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelved-modular-furniture.md) - [L-Shaped Stacked Shelving](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loft-shelf.md) - [Abstract Jigsaw-Like Shelving](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spectator-shelf.md) - [Adaptable Flat-Pack Shelving](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flat-pack-shelving.md) - [Bookcase-Equipped Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/low-wall-side-table.md) - [Modular Configuration Shelving Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/repisa-01.md) - [Storage-Packed Workstation Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shelf-x-shelf-x-self-table.md) - [Removable Plate Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gere-multifunctional-crockery-shelf.md) - [Two-Sided Wall Clocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corner-clock.md)
