Designed with a [hinge system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folding-shelf) that enables it to be installed on the underside of a cabinet to fold down when necessary, the system is packed with ample space for a [knife set](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/armada-knife-display). [Stripes of magnets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sliding-knife) line the unit to help ensure the sharp blades are kept in place and never given the chance to dislodge. Compatible with nearly any set of knives, the Drop Block Knife Storage Drawer can be installed onto any cabinet desired. The discretionary design of the unit allows it to be out of sight until a knife is needed at which point the incorporated handle is pulled to reveal the knife collection. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.7/10 - Popularity: 96% | Activity: 97% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Hidden Kitchen Storage:** Opportunities for innovating storage solutions for small kitchens. - **Magnetic Kitchen Accessories:** Potential for developing magnetic kitchen accessories that make use of unused space. - **Vertical Kitchen Storage:** Opportunities for innovating storage solutions that maximize vertical space. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Kitchen Design:** Develop new kitchen designs that make use of previously unused space such as underneath cabinets. - **Home Accessories:** Innovate new magnetic home accessories that can be installed in a discreet manner. - **Cabinet Manufacturing:** Manufacture more cabinets with built-in storage solutions that maximize vertical and hidden space. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Knife-Sanitizing Storage Blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magnetic-knife-block.md) - [Premium Knife Holder Launches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cutluxe-2.md) - [Space-Conscious Kitchen Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/magnetic-kitchen-design.md) - [Ultra-Slick Minimalist Knife Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glass-knife-block.md) - [EDC Knife Display Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/holme-hadfield-knife-deck.md) - [Cabinet-Style Kitchen Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/next125-pocket-system.md) - [Angular Minimalist Knife Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-knife-block-set.md) - [EDC Knife Display Boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/armada-knife-display.md) - [Eight-in-One Kitchen Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kitchyhub.md)
