Produced by Dutch company Sanders, this stool and light set is made of heavy cast iron and is designed to look like the Twin Towers, albeit at a 1:180 scale. The stool modules are shaped like cubes, and each of them is also equipped with an integrated lighting system as well as miniature windows. The [blocks can be stacked](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brick-light) atop one another to create a replica tower. The Twin Towers themselves features a number of intricate details, many of which are replicated here in the World Trade Center Stool/Light. Bruggink's belief is that the product aims to expose "any associations that may be evoked by the events of [their] collapse." ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.5/10 - Popularity: 59% | Activity: 37% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Memorial Design:** Designing products that commemorate important events or moments in history. - **Modular Lighting:** Creating lighting systems that can be customized and rearranged to fit different spaces and needs. - **Intricate Replications:** Replicating intricate details and structures in design to evoke specific emotions or memories. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Opportunity to create unique and meaningful furniture pieces that serve as memorials or tributes. - **Lighting Design:** Exploring modular lighting systems that allow users to customize their lighting arrangements. - **Art and Sculpture:** Using intricate replications in sculptures or art installations to provoke emotions and storytelling. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Bookend Lighting Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stair-table.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md) - [Light Pollution-Reducing Island Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/island-lamp.md) - [Traditional Tower-Inspired Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pagoda-lamp.md) - [Highly Functional Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loki-stool.md) - [Brutalist Bedside Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vestige-lamp.md) - [Stainless Steel Dynamic Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moment-table-lamp.md) - [Street Light-Inspired Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/standing-lamp-marble.md) - [Elegant Compact Table Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/air-table-light.md)
