This German designer cleverly crafted a canvas that's faux fabric, but is actually extremely hard and roush. The base is made with a material called [concrete canvas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ancora) that's soaked in water to achieve a malleable state. After Schmid cuts the desired shapes, the cut-outs are then [sewn together](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smock-collection) and hung on a wooden rack to harden for 24 hours. This type of seating is ideal for both indoor and outdoor as the material is fire and water-resistant. Stitching Concrete by Florian Schmid is aesthetically pleasing with falsified fabric that is not only interesting to look at, but is sure to spark conversation.
