There is something to be said when someone re-imagines a new way to use old techniques such as that seen in these Stitched Illustrations. Although [embroidery has been around for centuries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/olga-de-amaral), the creation of "drawings" such as these has never really been seen before.

Created by Peter Crawley, these Stitched Illustrations encompass everything from buildings to typography to [simple geometric patterns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/prompting-nowhere). Inspired by a road trip across America, Crawley took [classic string route markers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lost-cloth-project) and created something artistic from it to recreate certain scenes he's come across.
