Some viewers say they look like barnacles, others say bones, but when I look at them, the first thing that comes to mind is a platter of delicious cinnamon buns fresh from the oven. Their beautiful symmetry and [abstract undulations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-scad) is what gives these rolls of tape the ability to bring joy and mental peace to viewers who appreciate finding the patterns amidst the everyday hustle and bustle. Similarly, the artist describes how relaxing and peaceful she feels when creating each roll, envisioning the way it will turn out even before she is near completion. To finish off her [sticky tape artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/enso-tape), DiNardo places them in [vintage wooden boxes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basket-sculptures) for an added extra touch. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.3/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 3% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Sticky Tape Art:** Creating intricate designs using sticky tape can offer a unique and visually stunning art form. - **Handmade Retro Aesthetics:** The use of vintage wooden boxes to display artwork offers a throwback aesthetic that is both charming and nostalgic. - **Abstract Symmetrical Patterns:** Patterns that offer viewers a sense of symmetry and abstract design can evoke a sense of peace and mental relaxation. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Art and Design:** New techniques and materials can spark innovation in the world of art and design that can offer unique and captivating aesthetic experiences for viewers. - **Home Decor:** Utilizing unusual materials and handmade methods to create unique decor pieces can appeal to those looking for something different and personal in their homes. - **Craft and DIY:** The use of simple materials and techniques such as sticky tape can make crafting and DIY more accessible and offer a new level of creativity to the maker community. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Edible Food-Safe Adhesives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tastee-tape.md) - [Paper-Made Mosaic Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/real-life-architecture-exhibition.md) - [Design-Centric Dynamic Artful Cakes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/artful-cake.md) - [Sculptural Mixed-Media Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folded-echoes.md) - [Human Embraced-Inspired Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wallmounted-sculpture.md) - [Origami-Inspired Porcelain Art](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/saori-matsushita.md) - [Intricate Fiber Art Exhibitions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/threadwork-women-redefining-fiber-arts.md) - [Leftover Househouse Paint Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paint-drop.md) - [Intersecting Dimensional Art Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diorama.md)
