First he created a life-sized statue of [Conan O'Brien](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-conan-obrien) and now he has tackled yet another late-night TV host. Perhaps he is on his way to creating a pop culture collection of late-night personalities. Although not as extensive as the Conan O'Brien LEGO statue since Colbert isn't as tall, the Stephen Colbert LEGO statue is just as impressive. Who knew that these [iconic building blocks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-diorama) could actually capture the characteristics of such a funny man. Since Nathan Sawaya had fun as a guest on The Colbert Report, it is only fitting that he took the time to pay tribute to the fellow that interviewed him. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 65% | Activity: 81% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/toys) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **LEGO Sculptures:** Opportunity for artists and designers to create impressive and popular sculptures using LEGO blocks. - **Pop Culture Collections:** Trend of creating collections of famous personalities using different mediums, such as LEGO sculptures. - **Late-night TV Hosts:** Growing interest in creating artistic representations of late-night TV hosts using unconventional materials like LEGO blocks. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity for artists and designers to explore unconventional materials and mediums for creating sculptures. - **Entertainment:** Opportunity for the entertainment industry to collaborate with artists to create unique and engaging installations based on popular culture personalities. - **Toy Manufacturing:** LEGO and other toy manufacturers can tap into the trend of pop culture collections by producing licensed sets featuring famous personalities. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Architecture-Inspired Legos](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brooklyns-architectural-history.md) - [Art Sculpture Miniature Replicas](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/love-replica.md) - [Rome Monument Block Puzzles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/creator-expert-colosseum.md) - [Show Skit-Inspired Puzzle Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mr-bean-skit.md) - [Building Block Art Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/art-of-the-brick.md) - [Sitcom Building Block Sets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-ideas-the-office.md) - [Pop Art-Style Blocked Portraits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-in-red.md) - [Pop Art Factory Sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-campbells-soup.md) - [Retro-Inspired Toy Models](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lego-atari-2600.md)
