# Steampunk Star Wars Illustrations From Bjorn Hurri By Cowbag | Published 2008-11-10 | Unique Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/steampunked-star-wars-illustrations-from-bjorn-hurri References: [gorillaartfare](http://gorillaartfare.com/author/bjorn-hurri/) I love these steampunked illustrations from Björn Hurri. They manged to cover both the [steampunk and Star Wars genres](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/brickbuilt-star-wars-logo) really well indeed. Ironically, for steampunk designs, there is something really simple about these illustrations which I find most appealing indeed. All the usual suspects are in this collection, but if I had to buy one it would most certainly be Yoda. **Implications** - Star Wars still has a huge impact on the pop cultural world despite its release almost 30 years ago. Parodies and various interpretations of the movie and its characters have become a dominant influence on artists and the entertainment industry. The iconic quotes and images from this flick will forever remain as a source of inspiration for products due to its popularity and the images that have become recognizable for so long. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.8/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 83% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Unique](https://www.trendhunter.com/unique) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Steampunk Star Wars Illustrations:** The popularity of combining the steampunk and Star Wars genres presents opportunities for artists and the entertainment industry. - **Pop Culture Art:** An ongoing interest in the Star Wars franchise and related pop culture subjects inspires ongoing creativity and new product ideas. - **Iconic Character Parodies:** Interpreting and parodying popular movie characters like Yoda in unique ways presents opportunities for artists and other creatives to create new and exciting products. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Art and Design:** The growing trend of combining various themes and genres in pop culture and creating unique art pieces presents opportunities for artists and designers to create innovative products. - **Entertainment:** Insight into what resonates with fans of Star Wars and other popular culture icons can inspire new movies, television shows, and merchandise for the entertainment industry. - **Product Design and Marketing:** The enduring popularity of Star Wars allows for broad opportunities to innovate within the product design and marketing industries and appeal to a wide audience of fans. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Sci-Fi Franchise-Inspired Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-collection-2.md) - [Sci-Fi-Inspired Lenses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ray-ban-star-wars.md) - [Dark Sci-Fi Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/darc-sport.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Cars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/volkswagen-2.md) - [Sci-Fi Film-Inspired Custom Eyewear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lucasfilm.md) - [Subtly Sci-Fi Watch Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-wars-x-citizen-rebel-starfighter-boxed-set.md) - [Sci-Fi-Themed Hard Drives](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/firecuda-external-hard-drives.md) - [Sci-Fi Show Drinking Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/corkcicle-x-star-wars.md) - [Desert Planet Sci-Fi Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sands-of-tatooine-collection.md)
